Responsibilities Diagnose and repair heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment including boilers, chillers, and ammonia refrigeration units to ensure efficiency and longevity. Install new HVAC systems following detailed HVAC design plans while adhering to safety standards and building codes. Conduct troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to identify electrical or mechanical faults. Maintain accurate service records, complete detailed reports on repairs performed, and update property maintenance logs. Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and ensure all work complies with safety regulations. Operate a driver vehicle for timely on-site service calls across various locations. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and understanding HVAC design plans for installation or repair projects. Experience in service technician roles within construction or property maintenance environments. Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration units used in industrial applications. Skilled in equipment repair involving electrical components, welding techniques, boiler systems, and appliance repair. Familiarity with plumbing principles relevant to HVAC setups and refrigerant handling procedures. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively in troubleshooting electrical issues.
