Overview Join our dynamic local small business team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician/Installer, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring optimal climate control and mechanical systems performance across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation and repairs. Conduct field service operations such as appliance repair, property maintenance, plumbing tasks, and mechanical system adjustments. Use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and other electrical testing equipment to identify issues with HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems. Perform welding and equipment repair tasks to restore or enhance system functionality. Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and logs for all performed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and client requirements. Operate a vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between job sites while adhering to all traffic laws. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or installer with a strong background in construction or property maintenance projects. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration, and mechanical knowledge essential for troubleshooting complex systems. Hands-on experience with plumbing installations, appliance repair, boiler operation, welding techniques, and general equipment repair. Knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units and refrigeration components; experience working with ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Ability to read technical schematics and electrical diagrams; proficiency with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools required. Mechanical aptitude combined with field service experience in property maintenance or appliance repair roles. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; willingness to operate company vehicle safely across multiple sites.
