Responsibilities Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems according to schematics and design specifications Perform routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to ensure efficient operation and longevity Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC/R equipment using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters Repair or replace faulty components including compressors, fans, valves, electrical wiring, and plumbing connections Conduct system inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate, ensuring compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations Assist with the installation of plumbing systems related to HVAC units and refrigeration systems Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools effectively for repairs and installations Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for accountability and future reference Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in HVAC system repair and maintenance Construction experience or property maintenance background is highly desirable Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and building automation systems Mechanical knowledge of boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, plumbing, appliances repair, and mechanical systems repair Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters and troubleshooting equipment issues effectively Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R or electrical diagnostics are a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; van driver experience preferred Ability to work independently or as part of a team in field service environments Join us in delivering exceptional HVAC solutions!
