Job Description

Residential Service Technician (5+ Years) — Humble. Hungry. Smart. Evolution Air Conditioning | Henderson / Las Vegas Valley | Full-time | Pay DOE Most HVAC ads sound the same: "fast-paced team," "competitive pay," "must be a team player." We're looking for one technician who already knows the difference between a job and a craft. If you have 5+ years of real residential service, maintenance, repair, and replacement —and you still like walking into a home, diagnosing it clean, and leaving the customer better than you found them—read on. Who we are Evolution Air Conditioning is a locally owned HVAC-R company in Henderson. We built this company one honest call at a time since 2011. About 95% of our work is repeat customers. We don't do high-pressure sales. We do the right repair when the right repair is the answer, and a replacement when that's what the house actually needs. We're growing the residential department on purpose —not by stacking trucks and hoping. We need one experienced tech who wants to help build that department the right way. The work (this is a technician job) You will: Run residential service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs Present options and sell your own repairs with integrity—build value for the customer, yourself, and the company Assist on replacements; depending on experience, you may run your own replacement jobs Work the same skill set on light commercial when it keeps you productive while we grow residential Share on-call rotation with the other techs Follow company protocols so the customer experience stays consistent This is not a sales-rep posting with a wrench. You are a technician first. Selling is part of serving the customer well—not a script.
Who thrives here:
Humble, Hungry, Smart We hire for Lencioni's Ideal Team Player—because that's how we actually work. Humble — You don't need to be the loudest tech on the lot. You own mistakes, ask for help, and put the customer and the team ahead of your ego. Hungry — You want more than "another call." You want to grow your ticket quality, your skill, and the residential book. You set goals and chase them. Smart — People-smart and job-smart. You read the room, explain options so a homeowner can decide, and you diagnose instead of parts-cannon. If you've been stuck at a shop that only measures you by how hard they can push a changeout, this will feel different. What we expect from a 5-year tech Self-starter. You don't wait to be told the next right step. Customer relations that last past the invoice. Comfortable creating upsell opportunities that are real—IAQ, repairs that prevent the next callback, memberships when they fit—not theater. Willing to stay busy on light commercial while we build residential market share. Clean communication. The homeowner should understand what you found and why. Pay & structure Full-time. Pay DOE.
We run a performance culture:
clear expectations, measurable work, and room to grow with the department—not a mystery bonus at Christmas. How to apply This is one seat. We're not collecting a pile of "I'll do anything" resumes.
Submit:
Your resume (experience must be verifiable) References who can speak to your field work and how you treat customers If you're humble enough to keep learning, hungry enough to help build a department, and smart enough to treat a home like it matters—we want to talk.
