HVAC Service Technician - $28-$35/Hour + Commission Experienced HVAC tech? Good with customers? Want to earn more for the value you bring? Frontier Heating & A/C Service is looking for an experienced, customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to join our team. We are a local, family-owned HVAC company that has been serving Western New York for more than 35 years. We are looking for a technician who can diagnose problems, make quality repairs, communicate confidently with homeowners, and recognize opportunities to provide better long-term solutions. This is not just a "change parts and move on" position. We want someone who can build trust with customers, explain their options clearly, and take ownership of the service call from start to finish.

Compensation:

$28-$35 per hour based on experience PLUS commission opportunities Strong technicians who communicate well with customers and identify repair or replacement opportunities have the ability to earn more through commission.

What You'll Do:

Diagnose and repair residential heating and cooling systems Service furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and related HVAC equipment Perform preventative maintenance and system cleanings Troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, airflow, and mechanical problems Clearly explain system problems and repair options to homeowners Present repair and replacement options professionally Identify equipment replacement opportunities and generate qualified sales leads Recommend maintenance agreements and additional services when appropriate Complete service tickets and document work accurately Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle Participate in a rotating on-call schedule

Who We're Looking For:

We are looking for more than someone who can turn a wrench. The right technician should be able to walk into a customer's home, diagnose the issue, explain what is happening in terms the homeowner understands, provide options, and leave the customer feeling confident that they called the right company.

Experienced in residential HVAC service and repair Strong at troubleshooting and diagnostics Comfortable talking with homeowners Comfortable presenting repair and replacement options Professional and dependable Able to work independently Organized and able to complete accurate service documentation Motivated to grow your skills and earning potential

Qualifications:

Previous HVAC service experience strongly preferred EPA certification preferred Valid driver's license Acceptable driving record Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability Experience with furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, and mini-splits preferred Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical information Strong communication and customer service skills
