Job Description

Lead the crew. Build it right the first time. Bell, a Hickory company, is a leader in residential and light commercial HVAC across the Hudson Valley. We're looking for a Lead Install Technician to run crews on new construction and renovation projects — someone who can read a set of plans, set the pace on a jobsite, and hand off clean, code-compliant work. If you've led rough-ins, coordinated with GCs and other trades, and taken pride in work that passes inspection the first time, we want to talk. What You'll Do Lead an install crew on new construction and renovation jobsites — set the plan for the day, assign the work, keep the job moving. Install complete residential and light commercial HVAC systems: air conditioning, heat pumps, furnaces, boilers, ductless mini-splits, and geothermal. Run rough-ins and install ductwork, air distribution, and ventilation systems from prints and submittals. Coordinate with general contractors, builders, and other trades to keep your scope on schedule. Train and direct apprentices and helpers on your crew. Ensure every install meets local code, safety requirements, and manufacturer specs. Keep a clean, organized truck and a professional jobsite. What You Bring 3+ years of HVAC installation experience, with time on new construction or renovation work. Ability to read blueprints and submittals. Experience leading or mentoring other installers (formal title not required — if you've been the person the crew looks to, that counts). Working knowledge of HVAC equipment, ductwork, and installation practices. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and on ladders. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Authorized to work in the United States. Refrigerant and condensate line experience is a plus. High school diploma or trade school preferred.
