is seeking a dynamic and dedicated HVAC After-sales Support Technician to join our team! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional service and technical support for HVAC systems after installation, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help clients maintain comfortable, efficient environments while troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems via phone and email. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your construction, service technician skills, and mechanical knowledge in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Your proactive approach will drive success and foster long-term relationships with clients. Duties Respond promptly to service requests for HVAC system repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting calls, emails, and client sites. Diagnose issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools (such as ohmmeters), and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Perform HVAC system installation, repair, and maintenance on a variety of equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and building automation systems. Interpret schematics and HVAC design documents to accurately identify system components and troubleshoot problems effectively. Provide excellent customer service by clearly communicating technical information and ensuring client satisfaction during each service interaction. Experience Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar field service role within construction or building maintenance environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, electrical systems, and building automation controls. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Experience working with hand tools, electrical testing devices, and mechanical systems repair tools in a field setting. Knowledge of HVAC/R codes and standards such as EPA certifications (Environmental Protection Agency) for refrigerant handling is required. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to work independently in diverse environments requiring construction experience or plumbing skills is highly desirable. Pay:
From $65,000.00 per year Application Question(s): This role is located on-site in Melville, NY. The position will primarily support customer warranty and system issue calls regarding their HVAC units. This includes providing general guidance, dispatching contractors to the homes, and supporting contractors via phone, email, or on site in certain situation.
