Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Technician & Helper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and mechanical systems. You will work closely with experienced technicians to ensure optimal system performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the comfort and safety of our clients' buildings. All roles are paid positions, emphasizing the importance of your expertise and dedication. We are a residential and commerical service and installation company. Must have the ability to work nights and weekends as needed. Duties Assist in the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and prevent breakdowns. Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics, equipment issues, and mechanical components using hand tools and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters. Repair or replace faulty components within HVAC systems, including electrical wiring, mechanical parts, and plumbing connections. Read schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose system problems and implement effective solutions. Support senior technicians in service calls by providing hands-on assistance with system repairs and installations. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Experience Prior service technician experience in HVAC or related fields such as plumbing or building automation is preferred. Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, and HVAC systems is essential. Experience diagnosing electrical systems using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and multimeters. Familiarity with HVAC system repair, maintenance procedures, equipment troubleshooting, and system installation techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge related to mechanical systems repair including boilers, air conditioning units, and ventilation systems. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about system issues and solutions. EPA certification or equivalent for handling refrigerants is required or must be obtained upon hire. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in field service environments while adhering to safety protocols.
