What you will do:
Repairs and troubleshoots HVAC equipment, V.F.D's, Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Chillers and the Energy Management Program. Repairs and troubleshoots boilers, steam or hot water heating systems. Performs corrective and requisitioned repairs of electrical problems, and assist the electrician in trouble shooting problems. Performs corrective and requisitioned repairs of plumbing problems, and assist other maintenance mechanics in trouble shooting plumbing problems. Picks up various supplies, parts, and building materials and delivers to appropriate location as required. Will maintain good paper work, records and documentation. Checks lighting in and around the building on a regular basis. Replaces bulbs as needed and makes necessary repairs to fixtures and will clean fixtures as needed. Is capable of repairing extension cords and replacing receptacles. Makes minor repairs on cars, trucks, garden tractors, snow equipment and accessories. Is willing to shovel or plow snow and salt walks when necessary.
What you will need:
Minimum of 7 years of BAS controls, and HVAC system knowledge. Possesses an above average knowledge of software, medium and low voltage control systems, cyclometric methodology, enthalpy methodology. Must have knowledge of economizing controls, and pressure relationships. Understands HVAC equipment, V.F.D's, Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Chillers and the Energy Management Program. Understand boilers and is capable of trouble shooting the steam or hot water heating systems. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to understand, and follow, written and oral instructions. Works well independently or as a team member Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable under Firelands' auto policy. Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request. Punctual attendance at assigned work location is required. Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner and maintain an accident free work place, including ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Hospital emergency codes. Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations and to utilize proper personal protective equipment. Ability to comply with provisions of applicable S.D.S. forms. Successful completion of a ninety (90) day probationary period.
