Overview Join our dynamic team as a Residential HVAC Service Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions to homeowners. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on residential HVAC systems using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools, and mechanical knowledge to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and building automation systems to ensure optimal performance. Install new HVAC systems according to design specifications and schematics, ensuring compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, refrigerant recharges (including ammonia refrigeration), and mechanical system tune-ups. Troubleshoot electrical components using tools like ohmmeters and perform plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems to resolve complex mechanical problems efficiently. Document all service activities thoroughly in service reports and update maintenance logs for future reference. Collaborate with property maintenance teams or property owners to coordinate repairs and upgrades seamlessly. Experience Proven experience as a service technician in residential HVAC or related mechanical systems repair with a strong understanding of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration). Construction experience or background in building automation systems is highly desirable. Skilled in reading schematics, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, welding, and mechanical repairs. Valid EPA certification for refrigerants; additional certifications such as boiler operation or ammonia refrigeration are advantageous. Familiarity with HVAC design principles and property maintenance practices enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive solutions. Experience operating field service equipment including ohmmeters, welding tools, and diagnostic devices like refrigerant gauges.
