Westside Mechanical Services is looking for a seasoned HVAC Service Technician who is comfortable working across both residential and commercial HVAC systems . We are a growing HVAC and electrical company, and we are looking for someone who wants more than just a job. We want a technician who takes pride in doing things correctly, gives customers honest answers, can troubleshoot a system rather than simply replace parts, and is interested in continuing to grow within the trade. This is a hands-on, customer-facing, billable position . Our service work includes residential homes, commercial buildings, light-industrial facilities, and everything in between. Because our workload varies between residential and commercial work, the ability and willingness to work in both environments is important . This position will involve a combination of service, diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, installations, startups, and assisting with larger projects . We are a non-gimmicky company . We do not expect our technicians to pressure customers into unnecessary replacements or sell work for commission. We expect you to accurately diagnose the problem, explain what you find, provide honest recommendations, and perform quality work. What You'll Do Diagnose and troubleshoot residential and commercial HVAC systems Perform repairs and replacements on a wide range of HVAC equipment Complete preventive maintenance and service work Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, mechanical, and control issues Assist with HVAC installations, equipment changeouts, startups, and commissioning Work on both residential equipment and commercial equipment such as RTUs, heat pumps, split systems, boilers, pumps, hydronic systems, and controls Read wiring diagrams, mechanical plans, equipment documentation, and schematics Communicate findings, repair options, and recommendations clearly to customers Work directly with homeowners, business owners, facility managers, GCs, and other trades Work independently while knowing when to ask questions or involve other members of the team Work alongside apprentices and installers while helping maintain productivity and quality Help teach and develop less-experienced technicians when appropriate Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and jobsite organization Complete accurate service notes, timecards, job documentation, and material usage Follow WMS safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and proper PPE requirements Perform work that meets WMS quality standards with minimal callbacks or rework The Kind of Technician We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is experienced, dependable, thorough, and honest . You should be comfortable walking into a system that isn't working, figuring out why , and determining the appropriate solution. We don't need someone who changes parts until the system starts working again—we want someone who understands HVAC systems and can properly diagnose them.

Technicians are not paid on commission, and we do not expect you to manufacture work. If you find something that needs to be repaired, replaced, or improved, we expect you to tell the customer. If you don't find anything wrong, we expect you to say that too.

Our goal is simple:

do good work, tell the truth, and take care of the customer. Performance is measured through things such as quality of work, first-time fix rate, labor efficiency, callbacks, customer satisfaction, and overall contribution to the team—not how many replacement systems you convince someone to buy. Compensation & Benefits $40-$65/hour DOE Compensation will be based on experience, technical ability, licensing, and the level of work you are capable of performing independently.
