The HVAC Installation Technician is responsible for installing heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in residential and commercial buildings. This role ensures all equipment is set up according to design specifications, operates at peak efficiency, and fully complies with safety standards and local building codes. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong mechanical aptitude, sharp troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Install comprehensive HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation units. Fabricate, assemble, and connect ductwork, refrigerant piping, and electrical wiring per manufacturer guidelines. Optimize system layouts during installation to maximize energy efficiency and structural performance. Conduct rigorous post-installation testing to verify optimal system performance and airflow. Calibrate critical components, including smart thermostats, compressors, control boards, and fans. Check systems for refrigerant, perform leak tests, and document pressure and temperature readings. Read and accurately interpret blueprints, technical schematics, structural layouts, and manufacturer manuals. Assist project managers or design teams with field modifications to HVAC layouts when job site challenges arise. Guide customers through system operations and maintenance requirements. Provide professional recommendations on energy-saving practices and relevant system upgrades. Maintain strict adherence to OSHA regulations, local building codes, and company safety protocols. Safely handle specialized tools, electrical components, high-pressure refrigerants, and gas lines using appropriate PPE. Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment organized, clean, and in safe working order. Complete all installation logs, compliance paperwork, warranty registrations, and customer invoices accurately and on time.

Qualifications & Skills:

2+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience preferred (residential or commercial). Valid EPA Section 608 Certification required (Universal preferred); valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Proficiency with sheet metal tools, diagnostic equipment, and electrical multimeters. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a proven capability to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

Field-based work across residential and commercial settings. Ability to work in varying temperatures, outdoor weather, tight/confined spaces (crawlspaces, attics), or at high elevations. Ability to bend, kneel, and lift or move heavy equipment weighing 50+ pounds. Work hours may vary based on customer needs, including potential evening or weekend shifts.

Salary & Benefits Compensation:

$67,000 to $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
