Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and troubleshooting on HVAC systems, including boilers, air conditioning units, and building automation systems. Conduct repairs and maintenance on mechanical systems such as pumps, fans, compressors, and electrical components using hand tools and specialized equipment. Install new HVAC equipment following schematics, HVAC design plans, and building codes to ensure proper operation and compliance. Utilize electrical diagnostics tools like ohmmeters to identify faults within electrical systems and execute precise repairs. Maintain detailed service records, including photographs, inspection reports, repair logs, and system performance documentation. Collaborate with clients to assess their needs, explain repair options clearly, and deliver outstanding customer service throughout every interaction. Support property maintenance tasks as needed, including plumbing work and appliance repairs related to HVAC systems. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance. Construction experience or familiarity with building schematics is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) systems is essential. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans accurately. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, welding, and mechanical systems repair. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in ammonia refrigeration or boiler operation are a plus. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and field service technology. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver preferred. Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
