Duties Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related components. Troubleshoot HVAC issues using schematics and diagnostic tools. Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure system efficiency and longevity. Repair or replace defective parts such as compressors, fans, and motors. Conduct field service visits to assess customer needs and provide solutions. Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used. Adhere to safety protocols while working with refrigerants and other hazardous materials. Skills Proficient in HVAC/R systems with a focus on air conditioning and refrigeration. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance. Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC installations. Experience in construction or property maintenance is highly desirable. Ability to read and interpret schematics for effective troubleshooting. Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus. Competence in using tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing. Welding skills are beneficial for certain repair tasks.
