Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams. Conduct electrical diagnostics utilizing tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults in electrical systems and components. Repair and service plumbing components related to HVAC systems, ensuring seamless operation of mechanical systems. Troubleshoot complex issues involving refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, and mechanical systems to restore optimal functionality. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure HVAC system maintenance schedules are met and systems operate efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring client satisfaction during every interaction. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance. Construction experience or familiarity with building construction processes is highly desirable. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and understanding HVAC design principles. Mechanical knowledge encompassing HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration), plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical systems repair. Hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters, and troubleshooting equipment issues effectively. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications related to HVAC/R or ammonia refrigeration are a plus. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments; strong problem-solving skills are essential.
