Duties Diagnose and repair a wide range of HVAC systems including commercial and residential air conditioning units and process refrigeration equipment. As needed Perform HVAC system installations, upgrades, and routine maintenance to ensure peak operational efficiency. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to accurately troubleshoot issues. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults in electrical systems. Repair mechanical systems by replacing worn parts, adjusting equipment settings, and performing preventive maintenance. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to perform precise repairs on HVAC/R equipment while adhering to safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, complete incident reports, and document all work performed for quality assurance and compliance purposes. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring client satisfaction with every visit. Skills Proven 5 to 10 years experience as a service technician with strong background in commercial and residential HVAC systems.. Skilled in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes. Ability to diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical systems effectively. Experience with HVAC system repair, maintenance procedures, and installation techniques in commercial and residential environments. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications is a plus. Familiarity with HVAC design principles to assist in system upgrades or new installations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants; experience with HVAC/R is highly desirable. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; experience with equipment troubleshooting is essential. Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) integration and electrical systems troubleshooting a plus but not mandatory. Valid van driver's license for on-site travel between job locations; experience with equipment repair and maintenance is beneficial.
