Commercial HVAC Technician (7 to 11 Years Experience) Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician with 7 to 11 years of hands on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing commercial HVAC systems. Healthcare facility experience is highly preferred due to the critical nature of patient care environments. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, RTUs, VAV systems, air handlers, exhaust systems, and building automation controls. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability. Respond to emergency service calls and minimize downtime in critical environments. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and applicable local codes. Document work performed using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Coordinate with facility staff, contractors, and vendors to complete repairs and projects. Participate in an on call rotation as required. Qualifications 7 to 11 years of commercial HVAC experience. Healthcare or hospital facility maintenance experience preferred. Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, and control systems. EPA Universal Certification required. Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces. Preferred Skills Experience working around operating rooms, patient care areas, and critical infrastructure. Knowledge of chilled water, steam, and medical facility HVAC systems. Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills. Self motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism.
