We work with commercial and industrial customers and contractors to provide practical solutions for HVAC equipment and applications. We are looking for an experienced HVAC professional based in the Houston area who enjoys working in the field, solving problems, training others, and traveling. The Role The HVAC Field Technical & Training Specialist will be responsible for supporting the successful application of Coat Zone products at customer locations throughout the U.S. and internationally. A major part of the position will involve hands-on field training . You will work directly with contractors, technicians, distributors, and customers to demonstrate proper preparation and application of Coat Zone products and help troubleshoot challenges encountered during projects. This is not a traditional HVAC service technician or sales position. We're looking for someone with a solid practical understanding of HVAC equipment who is comfortable working in the field, communicating with contractors and customers, and finding practical solutions when unexpected conditions arise. Coat Zone will provide training on our specific products and application processes. Key Responsibilities Provide hands-on field training on the proper preparation and application of Coat Zone products. Train contractors, technicians, distributors, customers, and international partners on product application procedures and best practices. Demonstrate correct product preparation and application techniques at customer sites. Provide on-site support during initial product applications and other projects as required. Troubleshoot application issues and help teams navigate obstacles and unexpected conditions encountered in the field. Evaluate site conditions and work with contractors and customers to identify practical solutions. Inspect HVAC equipment and application areas before and during projects. Provide general technical guidance relating to HVAC coils, condensers, air-handling equipment, and related systems. Ensure application teams understand and follow Coat Zone product specifications and quality standards. Serve as a field point of contact for application-related questions. Communicate field observations, application issues, and customer feedback to Coat Zone management. Assist with improving training materials, application procedures, and field best practices. Represent Coat Zone professionally at customer facilities, training sessions, meetings, and projects. Travel throughout the United States and internationally as required. What We're Looking For 5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience preferred. Practical, hands-on knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems. Experience working with commercial HVAC equipment such as coils, condensers, air handlers, rooftop units, or similar equipment. HVAC service, maintenance, installation, facilities, or mechanical contracting experience would all be relevant. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Comfortable working around commercial HVAC equipment and active job sites. Ability to learn Coat Zone's products and application processes and confidently teach those processes to others. Comfortable demonstrating technical processes and providing hands-on training. Ability to think on your feet and help resolve unexpected field and application challenges. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable working directly with contractors, technicians, facility personnel, and customers. Able to work independently and take responsibility for assignments while traveling. Valid driver's license. Valid passport, or ability to obtain one, and willingness to travel regularly throughout the U.S. and internationally. Preferred, But Not Required Experience or training with major HVAC manufacturers such as Carrier, Trane, York/Johnson Controls, Daikin, or similar manufacturers is beneficial. HVAC certifications, manufacturer training, EPA certification, testing and balancing experience, or other relevant technical qualifications are also welcomed but are not required. A college degree is not required . Relevant practical HVAC and field experience is more important to us.
