Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems in commercial and residential settings. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure precise system installation and repairs. Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to optimize efficiency and extend lifespan. Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics, mechanical systems repair, refrigeration issues, and equipment malfunctions using hand tools and diagnostic devices such as ohmmeters. Repair or replace faulty components within HVAC/R systems while adhering to safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Perform system testing, calibration, and adjustments to ensure proper operation in accordance with design specifications. Provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions, maintenance procedures, and addressing client concerns professionally. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong foundation in mechanical systems repair and installation. Service technician experience working with HVAC/R systems or related mechanical equipment. Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and refrigeration technology. Ability to diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform equipment troubleshooting effectively. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC system components including air conditioning units, boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, and ventilation equipment. Hands-on experience with hand tools required for installation and repair tasks. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; van driver certification preferred. EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R or ammonia refrigeration are advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Willingness to work in various environments requiring physical activity such as climbing ladders or working in confined spaces. $18.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 45.0 per week
