Job Summary The HVAC Equipment Installer and Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems and related equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role ensures systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities Installation Duties Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, thermostats, and ventilation components Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications Set up system components and ensure proper wiring, piping, and configuration Test systems after installation to ensure proper operation Service & Maintenance Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC equipment Repair or replace defective components such as motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats Recharge refrigerant levels and check for leaks Customer Service Communicate with customers about system issues, repairs, and recommendations Provide estimates for repairs and upgrades when required Ensure customer satisfaction through professional service Safety & Compliance Follow OSHA and company safety standards Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC regulations Properly handle refrigerants and hazardous materials Documentation Maintain accurate service records and installation reports Complete job orders, work logs, and maintenance documentation
