Duties Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and related mechanical systems to ensure peak performance. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot system failures, perform routine maintenance, and optimize equipment efficiency. Repair appliances and mechanical components such as boilers, pumps, compressors, and ammonia refrigeration systems with precision. Utilize tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment to test electrical circuits and perform necessary repairs or modifications. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of HVAC systems within building infrastructure. Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and communicate effectively with clients about system status and recommended upgrades. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems; construction or property maintenance background is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge including refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, boiler operation, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration). Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately. Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Hands-on experience with equipment repair—including welding—and performing routine maintenance tasks. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently in the field under minimal supervision.
