America's Smart Homes is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Duct Installer / HVAC Installation Technician to join our team. Our primary work is HVAC and related home/business services, with projects throughout Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and San Antonio . The right person will be comfortable traveling between markets based on where our current projects are located. Travel This is a traveling position within Texas .

You may work in:

Houston Dallas-Fort Worth San Antonio Other Texas markets as projects become available Travel frequency will depend on the company's current project schedule. Some projects may require overnight stays. The Position We are looking for someone who can independently install and modify HVAC duct systems and assist with HVAC installations. This is a traveling position , so flexibility and reliability are extremely important. Projects will vary by location and may include residential and/or light commercial HVAC work. Responsibilities Install, modify, repair, and replace HVAC ductwork Install supply and return duct systems Work with flex duct, sheet metal, fittings, plenums, boots, registers, and related materials Properly seal and insulate ductwork Read and follow HVAC plans, layouts, and measurements Assist with complete HVAC system installations when needed Identify ductwork and airflow issues and make appropriate corrections Maintain a clean and organized job site Follow company safety procedures and applicable building codes Communicate effectively with project managers, installers, customers, and other trades Travel to project locations throughout the Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and San Antonio areas Complete projects efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

What We're Looking For Required:

Previous experience installing HVAC ductwork Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Ability to read measurements and basic HVAC installation layouts Reliable transportation Valid driver's license and good driving record Willingness to travel between Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and San Antonio depending on project availability Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and other physically demanding environments Ability to lift materials and equipment and work on your feet for extended periods

Preferred:

2+ years of HVAC installation or ductwork experience Experience with residential HVAC changeouts Sheet metal fabrication experience Experience installing flex duct and hard pipe EPA certification Texas HVAC registration/certification Experience working with both residential and light commercial systems Licensing requirements will depend on the specific HVAC work being performed and the level of responsibility. Texas TDLR distinguishes between technician registration and contractor licensing, so we will verify any applicable requirements for the position and project.
