• High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions with a minimum of (5) years' HVAC-related experience.
• Must hold an EPA Universal Technician Certification, provide proof of completion of HVAC credited certification course or prove equivalent knowledge in HVAC during interview process. and a valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all HVAC equipment including system operational checks and cleaning of coils; complete PM logs and refrigerant tracking log; perform daily survey of HVAC Direct Digital Control system for potential problem equipment.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions on all heating and air conditioning systems. Repair or replace heating and air conditioning systems and components, to include compressors, reversing valves, fan motors and electrical components.
• Update work orders; identify and report needed repairs on district buildings and equipment.
• Maintain all building exhaust systems and vent hood systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance and installation procedures; good knowledge of HVAC controls systems to include DDC controls.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics and written reference material.
• Skilled in the use of HVAC tools including recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, meters, gauges, oxygen/acetylene torch and ladders.
