Job Description

Job Summary We're looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician with deep expertise in a wide variety of commercial HVAC systems and building automation to join our service team. In this role, you'll handle complex diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and system optimization across commercial and industrial facilities. The right candidate brings strong technical instincts, a safety-first mindset, and a track record of delivering quality service. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair all types of commercial HVAC equipment. Commission and start up chiller and controls systems, optimizing for peak efficiency. Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues. Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, and supporting equipment. Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics. Keep accurate, timely documentation of all service work, repairs, and recommendations. Communicate clearly with customers about system conditions, findings, and next steps. Adhere to all safety requirements, EPA standards, and internal company policies. Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior technicians when applicable. Required Qualifications EPA 608 Universal Certification. 5 or more years of commercial HVAC experience Experience with BAS/DDC controls platforms a plus. Strong electrical troubleshooting capability across both low and high voltage systems. Comfortable working independently with limited oversight. Valid driver's license in good standing. Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces. Preferred Qualifications Factory certifications or formal training on major chiller manufacturers. Hands-on controls programming or commissioning background. Prior experience in hospitals, industrial plants, or large-scale commercial buildings.
