We'll teach you HVAC. Valley Plumbing, Heating and Cooling is growing our HVAC division, and we're hiring a maintenance technician to grow with it. Most HVAC shops hire for technical skill and hope the people skills show up later. We do the opposite. Diagnosing systems and doing the work are skills we teach every day. What we can't easily teach is the ability to sit down with a homeowner, explain what's going on with their equipment, and help them choose the right option for their situation. If you already do that well, the rest is training.

How it works:

Training:

Paid HVAC crash course, a mix of classroom training and ride-alongs with experienced techs. $18/hr.

Next:

Run maintenance visits for our member customers, with low sales pressure. Efficient techs earn around $30/hr.

After that:

Move up to higher-value service calls as you gain experience. Make high-level diagnostics and repair of climate control systems as a critical part of an effective team. Six-figure income is realistic. What you'll do: Perform seasonal maintenance on furnaces, AC units, and heat pumps Inspect systems and explain your findings to homeowners in plain language Walk customers through their options and complete the work Keep records in our field software (tablet provided) What you bring: Experience helping customers make decisions: service advising, sales, hospitality, retail, or anything similar Clear communication and a professional presence in people's homes Mechanical curiosity and willingness to learn Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in attics and crawlspaces What we offer: Paid training from day one A clear path from $18/hr to six figures Experienced techs and management who want you to succeed Why Join Us?
