Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and troubleshooting residential HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Your expertise will help create comfortable, safe environments for residential building projects. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including forced-air units and ventilation systems in accordance with schematics and HVAC design plans Size and specify the proper equipment for new installations and system Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system issues using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and hand tools Conduct equipment troubleshooting to identify faults in refrigeration, electrical systems, plumbing connections, and building automation systems Be present for municipal inspections Interpret schematics and technical manuals Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs for all completed work Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerant handling and environmental safety standards Skills 5+ years experience with installation and repair of HVAC or mechanical systems Service technician experience working on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) equipment Strong understanding of schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and HVAC design principles Mechanical knowledge including plumbing, boiler operation, and air conditioning systems Proficiency in using hand tools, electrical diagnostic tools (such as ohmmeters), and equipment troubleshooting techniques Ability to perform HVAC system repair and maintenance efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Experience with HVAC system installation from start to finish in residential settings Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling required for refrigerant-related work Estimating experience relative to HVAC installation Familiarity with mechanical systems repair including pumps, fans, motors, valves, and ductwork Ability to operate a company vehicle safely as a licensed van driver Experience working in construction management software Apply if you're ready to bring your technical expertise to a growing company We value energetic professionals committed to excellence in HVAC service delivery.
