Rainier Heating & CoolingLead HVAC Installer - Job DescriptionPosition Summary Rainier Heating & Cooling is looking for an experienced, professional Lead HVAC Installer who takes pride in quality workmanship, customer service, and leadership. The Lead HVAC Installer is responsible for completing residential HVAC installations safely, efficiently, and to Rainier Heating & Cooling's quality standards. This position requires strong HVAC installation skills as well as the ability to lead, train, and work effectively with other installers and apprentices. The ideal candidate has a professional mindset , communicates well, takes ownership of their work, and understands that a Lead Installer sets the example for the rest of the installation team. Key Responsibilities Lead residential HVAC system installations from start to finish. Install heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces, air handlers, ductless systems, thermostats, and related HVAC equipment. Ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications, company standards, applicable codes, and permit requirements. Properly perform refrigerant piping, brazing, evacuation, charging, condensate installation, venting, airflow setup, and system commissioning. Diagnose and resolve installation-related problems in the field. Review the scope of work before beginning each installation and identify potential issues. Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites. Protect customers' homes and property throughout the installation. Perform final system startup and verify proper equipment operation. Explain the completed system and basic operation to the customer. Complete required job documentation, startup information, photos, and paperwork. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a professional manner. Leadership & Training The Lead Installer is expected to be a leader within the installation department.

Responsibilities include:

Work effectively with installers, helpers, apprentices, service technicians, sales staff, office staff, and management. Train and mentor less-experienced installers. Teach proper installation techniques rather than simply completing the work for others. Help develop apprentices and installers into productive, independent team members. Set expectations for workmanship, productivity, cleanliness, safety, and professionalism. Provide constructive feedback when improvements are needed. Lead by example through attitude, attendance, appearance, workmanship, and communication. Help create a positive team environment where employees work together to complete jobs correctly and efficiently. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong residential HVAC installation experience. Ability to independently complete HVAC system installations. Strong understanding of refrigeration, airflow, electrical, ductwork, venting, drainage, and system commissioning. Ability to read installation manuals, job scopes, equipment specifications, and basic wiring diagrams. Ability to troubleshoot installation and startup problems. Ability to safely use HVAC installation tools and equipment. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. EPA certification as required. Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with HVAC installation work. Pay:

$26.64 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per week
