Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for an Ammonia Technician role in Vancouver, WA . Pay:

$30 per hour

DOE Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial ammonia refrigeration systems and associated equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, piping, and related refrigeration equipment.
• Monitor system pressures, temperatures, levels, and operating conditions to ensure safe and efficient refrigeration performance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues affecting ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Perform routine inspections to identify leaks, abnormal operating conditions, equipment wear, and potential safety concerns.
• Respond to refrigeration system alarms, equipment failures, and other maintenance needs to minimize production downtime.
• Assist with system start-ups, shutdowns, adjustments, and repairs as required.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment conditions.
• Follow established procedures for the safe handling of ammonia and operation of refrigeration equipment.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, PPE requirements, and emergency response protocols.
• Promptly report equipment malfunctions, ammonia leaks, safety concerns, or other operational issues to supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an Ammonia Technician, Refrigeration Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician , or similar role preferred.
• Experience working with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Knowledge of compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, piping, and refrigeration controls.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
• Understanding of industrial refrigeration safety practices and ammonia handling procedures.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and industrial maintenance environments.
• RETA, CARO, CIRO, or other applicable refrigeration training/certifications are a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a maintenance team.
