Job Description

CoolSys is hiring a Journeyman HVAC Installation professional to install, pipe, wire, and start up commercial and industrial HVAC systems. You'll interpret blueprints, set and rig equipment, run refrigerant and condensate piping, install ductwork and controls, and verify system performance for safety, efficiency, and reliability. Working in a safety-first, team-oriented culture, you'll troubleshoot installation issues, document work, and interface with customers. CoolSys offers hands-on technical training, growth opportunities, and exposure to advanced, energy-efficient HVAC-R solutions nationwide. Responsibilities Install commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, ductwork, and accessories to specification Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and wiring diagrams for accurate installation Run refrigerant, condensate, and gas piping, including brazing and leak testing Perform electrical wiring, terminations, and controls setup for HVAC systems Start up, balance, and verify performance of new HVAC installations Follow OSHA and company safety procedures on all job sites Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related mechanical or electrical issues Complete job documentation, reports, and as-built information Coordinate with project managers, technicians, and contractors to meet schedules Communicate professionally with customers and represent Cool Sys standards Required Skills HVAC system installation Reading blueprints and schematics Brazing and soldering Refrigeration piping and line sets Electrical wiring for HVAC equipment Equipment start-up and commissioning Controls and thermostats installation Use of HVAC diagnostic tools Mechanical code and OSHA safety knowledge Documentation and service reporting
