This position covers AC repair, furnace repair, boiler service, heat pump service, water heater service, humidifier and dehumidifier service, air purifier systems, smart thermostat diagnostics, HVAC maintenance, and 24 hour emergency HVAC service . You will perform diagnostics, repairs, seasonal tune-ups, and customer-facing service work throughout Franklin, New Berlin, Brookfield, Muskego, and Waukesha.

Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including heating units, air conditioning equipment, refrigeration systems, boilers, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams to accurately diagnose issues. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults within complex mechanical and electrical systems. Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC components and ensure proper operation of refrigerant lines and drainage systems. Maintain compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly and performing necessary certifications. Use welding techniques to repair or modify equipment as needed while ensuring safety standards are met. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to prolong equipment lifespan and improve energy efficiency. Assist in HVAC design projects by providing technical input on system specifications and layout planning. Operate field service vehicles safely as a driver while managing multiple service calls efficiently. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and upgrades for mechanical systems. Skills Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems installation and repair. Service technician experience working on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) equipment in various settings. Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and building automation system layouts. Knowledge of HVAC design principles for system optimization and energy efficiency improvements. Skilled in plumbing, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration handling, boiler operation, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Mechanical knowledge covering system repair procedures for diverse equipment types including appliances and mechanical components. Familiarity with building automation systems that control HVAC functions for enhanced building performance. Experience with field service operations involving troubleshooting on-site issues quickly and effectively. Capable of performing appliance repairs related to HVAC units or property maintenance tasks. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; experience with ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Proficiency with ohmmeters, welding tools, maintenance procedures, and equipment repair techniques.
