Job Description
Position Summary We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Vacuum Pump Assembler to join our team. This position is responsible for accurately assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining vacuum pumps according to company specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, takes pride in quality workmanship, follows instructions carefully, and is able to work independently while also contributing positively to the team. Key Responsibilities Assemble and maintain vacuum pumps accurately and consistently according to company quality standards. Carefully inspect and verify components during the assembly process. Perform testing of completed pumps to ensure proper functionality and performance. Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues and identify appropriate solutions. Follow technical specifications, work instructions, and quality control procedures. Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality. Use mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills to address assembly and testing issues. Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and materials. Follow all company safety procedures and consistently use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work status, issues, and needs. Report to work on time and reliably complete assigned responsibilities. Communicate absences, schedule needs, and planned vacation time to the appropriate supervisor. Work cooperatively with team members and maintain a positive, professional attitude. Qualifications & Skills Mechanical aptitude and an interest in hands-on mechanical work. Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and technical specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems. Ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work safely while using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment. Previous mechanical, assembly, manufacturing, pump, or related experience is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work for extended periods. Ability to frequently use hand and power tools. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as required for the position. Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks associated with mechanical assembly. Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety requirements.
