Job Description
Overview Turner Staffing Group is hiring a Plant Mechanic to support a mining operation in Hinkley, California. This is a key maintenance role responsible for keeping processing plant equipment running safely and efficiently to support continuous production. If you're an experienced mechanic who takes pride in reliability, precision, and safety, this is an opportunity to be part of a high-performing operation with room to grow. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on processing plant equipment (crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, and related machinery) Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and complete repairs to minimize downtime Perform welding, fabrication, and component replacement as needed Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, damage, or unsafe conditions Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report on equipment condition and repairs completed Follow all site safety policies and MSHA regulations Communicate effectively with the maintenance team, operators, and supervisors Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic in a mining, quarry, or industrial plant environment Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools Valid driver's license required MSHA certification (preferred; may be required prior to start) Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment Strong situational awareness and commitment to safety Reliable transportation and consistent attendance What We're Looking For Mechanics who can diagnose and repair issues safely, efficiently, and consistently Individuals who take ownership of equipment reliability and uptime Team players who communicate clearly and work well in a fast-paced environment
