DESCRIPTION
  • Maintenance Technician Level 3 with 5-7 years of experience Position Overview Maintenance Technician troubleshoots electrical and mechanical systems within the plant.
Maintenance Technician III coordinates with other departments to resolve equipment breakdowns and other production-related opportunities. Maintenance Technician II complies with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE as well as understands and follows the Quality policy and Lean initiatives. Areas of Focus Maintenance Technician II focuses on a preventive maintenance schedule in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's recommendation and industry-accepted best practices for all plant equipment. Additionally, Maintenance Technician II repairs or replaces equipment as needed, while performing basic mechanical and electrical repair work. Responsibilities Follow the preventive maintenance schedule in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's recommendation and industry-accepted best practices for all plant equipment Maintain, repair, or replace equipment, while performing basic mechanical and electrical repair work Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair, 120V
  • 480V 1 phase/3 phase electrical equipment Notice and report any abnormal conditions/ failures and take required corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence of such conditions Perform machinery and basic equipment examinations to troubleshoot defects and visual wear Thorough understanding of all plant machinery and subsystems Performs electrical testing; motor testing; fuse/continuity checks; voltage/resistances/current relationships Basic understanding of Ohm's Law (Electrical formulas and equations) and NEW (National Electric Code) Voltage, Current & Watts•resistance and voltage Perform machine shop functions (sheet metal, steel layout, and welding) Follow company policy, processes, and action plans as it relates to all plant machinery Support an environment of continuous improvement by making/implementing suggestions Must follow and understand production daily goals and requirements Perform general housekeeping

Voltage either Low Voltage or High Voltage Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years' experience in an industrial environment working within a maintenance (electrical) department as a Maintenance Mechanic Technician Good writing and communication skills Basic understanding of MS Office (Word / Excel) Experience working with troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs
