Competitive salary based on experience, plus benefits Position Summary Chemical Equipment Labs is seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our maintenance team in New Haven, CT. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of industrial equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing, laboratory, chemical processing, or industrial environment and possess strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on industrial equipment, pumps, motors, compressors, conveyors, and mechanical systems. Diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repair solutions. Repair and replace bearings, belts, gears, seals, valves, and other mechanical components. Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and facility improvement projects. Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documents. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders. Coordinate with production, and operations personnel to minimize equipment downtime. Support facility maintenance activities as required. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Experience with pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and industrial machinery. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to workplace safety. Preferred Technical school certification or vocational training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, or related field. Experience in manufacturing, or industrial environments. Welding and fabrication experience. Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and basic electrical troubleshooting. Forklift, aerial lift, or lockout/tagout certification. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
