Working Shop Foreman - Industrial Mechanic Waterbury, CT $45-$50/hr DOE | Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity Skilled Trades Partners is seeking an experienced Working Shop Foreman / Industrial Mechanic for a full-time opportunity with an established, family-owned industrial service company in Waterbury, CT. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who knows how to troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild industrial rotating equipment while helping oversee the day-to-day operation of a busy repair shop. This is not a desk-only foreman role — we're looking for someone who can lead by example and work alongside the team. What You'll Be Doing Lead and work alongside shop mechanics and technicians Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and rebuild industrial electric motors Repair pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures Perform precision fits, alignments, and equipment repairs Operate manual machining equipment, including a lathe Assist with balancing, testing, and complex troubleshooting Help coordinate shop workflow and maintain high standards for quality and safety What We're Looking For 5+ years of industrial mechanical, motor repair, millwright, or similar experience preferred Strong hands-on experience repairing electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, or rotating equipment Manual lathe experience required Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience leading or mentoring other mechanics/technicians Comfortable working with heavy industrial equipment Welding, fabrication, machining, or motor rewinding experience is a plus No electrical license required What's Offered Competitive pay around $45-$50/hr DOE Full-time, long-term opportunity PTO and paid holidays 401(k) Profit sharing Bonus opportunities Tuition reimbursement Stable work with an established industrial customer base Opportunity to join a smaller, family-run company where your experience will have a direct impact If you're an experienced industrial mechanic who enjoys solving difficult problems, working on a variety of equipment, and leading from the shop floor, we'd like to speak with you.
