The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of elevators and escalators to ensure safe and reliable operation. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to safety standards. Candidates must have at least five years of hands-on experience working on elevators and escalators, along with a valid certificate of competency. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on elevators and escalators to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly and accurately. Repair or replace faulty components to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance. Install new elevator systems and upgrade existing equipment as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards during all phases of work. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections thoroughly for record-keeping purposes. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to coordinate work schedules and ensure project requirements are met efficiently. Skills Must have a minimum of five years of experience working on elevators and escalators. Possession of a valid certificate of competency for elevator mechanics. Strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical components, and hydraulic systems related to elevator operation. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly. Knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards relevant to elevator maintenance and repair.
