Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Mechanic to support the production and packaging operations of a pharmaceutical gummy manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment to ensure maximum efficiency while complying with GMP, FDA, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing, packaging, and processing equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime. Repair and maintain conveyor systems, mixers, pumps, filling equipment, labeling machines, and packaging equipment. Conduct routine equipment inspections and document maintenance activities. Assist with equipment changeovers, setup, and adjustments for production runs. Work closely with Production and Quality teams to ensure equipment operates efficiently and meets production goals. Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, and company safety policies. Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production support requests. Assist with installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Manufacturing Mechanic in a pharmaceutical, food, nutraceutical, or similar regulated manufacturing environment preferred. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Experience working with automated production and packaging equipment. Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and documentation. Ability to read mechanical drawings, manuals, and schematics. Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and workplace safety standards. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. #FTL
