SUMMARY Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment and parts, such as control panels, PLC' s and electronic circuits. This position requires extensive knowledge of electronic components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations. Professional, technical, and mechanically proficient.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Must have understanding and expertise with PLC Controls.
- Responsible for calibrating and checking instrument.
- Knowledge of the utilization of every tool, which may include drills, mechanical saws, sanders, and buffers.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on production equipment.
- Wire machines and electrical and electronic panels in line with prints.
- Browse blueprints and lots of schematics and use an array of tools and diagnostic devices to service and install electrical components.
- Regular attendance is a requirement
- Other duties may be assigned.
EXPERIENCE
- Associate s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school in a related field, or;
- 10 years of experience as an electrician working in an industrial environment, or;
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Pneumatic and hydraulic experience.
- Excellent understanding of safety rules in an industrial setting.
- Must be familiar with industrial and electrical laws.
- Strong mechanical, analytical, and solution driven skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in Automation and conveyors.
- Able to understand and make decisions based on technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, or instructions.
- Possess strong electrical, electronic and mechanical abilities.
- Must be able to use basic tools and machinery.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and utilize common scientific and technical journals.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and utilize the most complex documents in English.
- Must be able to speak English or Spanish
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
