Job Description

A recycling and environmental services operation is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Port Orange, FL to maintain and repair fixed plant equipment. Ideal candidates have conveyor, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting experience. for steady 2nd shift work and overtime opportunities. Duties & Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on recycling facility equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs on fixed plant equipment in a material recovery facility. Replace conveyor belts, electric motors, hydraulic cylinders, and other mechanical parts, with occasional plumbing, electrical, or HVAC repair support as needed. Use hand tools, power tools, electrical testing tools, torches, welding equipment, and shop equipment to complete repairs and fabricate parts. Maintain parts and supply inventory by checking stock, identifying needed items, and supporting parts ordering and receipt. Follow safe work practices, including working at heights from boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other aerial work platforms.
Requirements Required:
High school diploma or
GED. 3-5
years of industrial maintenance experience, training, or a related combination. Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems. PLC troubleshooting ability with strong practical mechanical and electrical aptitude. Prior experience working with conveyors in a manufacturing, recycling, or similar industrial environment. Proficient with oxy-acetylene torch use and welding processes. Valid driver's license and ability to work 2nd shift, some weekends, and overtime as needed.
Preferred:
Maintenance work order software experience. Mechanical or trade school certificate. #FJ1
Compensation:
$25.00•$27.00/hour starting pay based on experience and qualifications. $200 quarterly tool allowance.

Shifts:
