Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking dedicated Maintenance Technicians for the 3rd shift to perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on automated food and beverage industrial equipment. This role requires a strong experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, focusing on conveyors, motors, VFDs, and LOTO processes. Responsibilities Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on industrial bakery and packaging equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, motors, relays, sensors, switches, contactors, and VFDs. Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Maintain and repair conveyors, drive systems, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, and production machinery. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Program and troubleshoot basic VFD applications. Support equipment installation, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects. Ensure compliance with food safety, OSHA, Arc Flash, and Lockout/Tagout requirements. Prioritize production calls and respond quickly to minimize downtime. Maintain parts inventories and document completed repairs. Support sanitation and production startup activities. Essential Skills 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing. Experience troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480V. Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities. Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Ability to read electrical schematics. Working knowledge of conveyors, motors, sensors, relays, and VFDs. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Experience with PLC troubleshooting and maintenance. Familiarity with automation and robotics troubleshooting. Knowledge of ladder logic and Siemens systems. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position operates in a freezer, refrigerated, and oven/furnace setting on the 3rd Shift from 11pm to 7am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sanford, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
