Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Production Plant Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment and systems. Your expertise will help maintain safety standards, improve equipment reliability, and support continuous production flow. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong foundation in industrial maintenance and electrical diagnostics. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on heavy construction equipment. Caterpillar and John Deere. Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, electrical blueprint reading, multimeters such as ammeters and ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments. Conduct repairs on electrical systems including low voltage controls, high voltage circuits, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial electrician tasks. Operate field service equipment such as boom lifts safely for elevated maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Read technical schematics and engineering troubleshooting guides to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions. Use welding skills where necessary for equipment repair or fabrication tasks in accordance with welding standards. Support customer service efforts by providing timely technical assistance to internal teams or external clients when required. Follow safety procedures related to high voltage work, electrical diagnostics, and industrial maintenance to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility environment with a focus on industrial maintenance or mechanical troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to operate boom lifts safely and perform field service activities efficiently. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical blueprint reading, low voltage systems, high voltage safety practices, and engineering troubleshooting methods. Experience with welding ( standards), hydraulic systems, pneumatic troubleshooting, and the use of precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation to address technical issues promptly while maintaining safety standards. Industrial electrician experience is advantageous for diagnosing complex electrical problems involving high voltage or low voltage circuits.
