Job Description
Control Panel Technician Darien, Illinois | Contract-to-Hire | Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM Build It. Wire It. Learn a Skilled Trade. Per Sé Group is hiring Control Panel Technicians to join our client, a respected family-owned control panel design and fabrication company that has been in business for more than 40 years. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has strong mechanical aptitude, and wants to learn a valuable technical skill. Previous electrical or control panel wiring experience is not required. Our client is willing to train individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity , with the intent to transition successful employees to a full-time position after approximately six months. What You'll Do Assemble and wire industrial control panels Use hand and power tools, including wire cutters and wire strippers Measure, identify, number, and organize wires Determine appropriate wire sizes and gauges Read and follow drawings and basic electrical schematics Complete detailed assembly work according to specifications Maintain an organized and safe work area What We're Looking For Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with your hands Experience using hand and power tools Background in automotive work, mechanical assembly, construction, fabrication, maintenance, woodworking, manufacturing, or similar hands-on work is a plus Ability to perform detailed work and follow instructions Willingness and ability to learn control panel wiring Ability to read drawings or schematics is a plus, but not required Previous wiring experience is a plus, but not required Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to Darien, IL Ability to work Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM Why This Opportunity?
