JOB DESCRIPTION- INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
Installing, assembling and maintaining machines and equipment Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing and testing equipment Trouble shooting machinery mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic Diagnosing, adjusting and repairing machine regularly to prevent failures Resolving technical issues and performimg emergency repairs Inspecting machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual and sound inspections. Installing replacement parts which you may have to fabricate yourself Using power tools and different hand tools to complete assigned tasks and work orders Maintain a clean and organized work area Following industry best practices, SOP's and other safety guidelines Complying with health and safety regulations Performing general building maintenance. Logging performed maintenance work through either paper documents or computer Reading, interpretting and following instructions and manuals. Reading and interpreting schematics Maintaining an inventory of wear parts for the machines and equipment Job Requirements 2 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic with manufacturing experience or similar role Trade or vocational school graduate preferred Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools, safely Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic aptitude and ability Physical dexterity and ability to walk, stand and lift heavy objects for an extended period of time Good trouble shooting skills Knowledge of health and safety regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to act competently at all times Ability to source the repair parts required to maintain equipment.
