Mechanic Helper Company Description:

Summary:

The mechanic helper is a part of a maintenance team and under the direction and supervision of the maintenance supervisor, manager, and director of maintenance. The mechanic helper is responsible for assisting mechanics in the day to day maintenance required to keep the production plants operational.

Responsibilities:

The mechanic helper will assist maintenance mechanics in day to day preventive and corrective maintenance. Should have a general knowledge of tools and how they are used to perform a task safely and effectively. The mechanic helper will be expected to learn the equipment's location and general purpose. Have the ability to work with in ISO 9001 and OSHA guidelines. Ability to work and learn in a fast pace changing environment. Should be available to work after hours to assist with the occasional call-in. Complete other duties as assigned.

Ability to follow direction Ability to lift 50 pounds Climb ladders and work at heights Capable of working in high noise levels, high dust levels, and outdoors.
