Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electromechanical Assembly Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing complex electro-mechanical components and systems, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and technical specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the production of high-quality products by interpreting electrical schematics, utilizing precision hand tools, and applying mechanical assembly techniques. Responsibilities Assemble electro-mechanical components and systems according to detailed blueprints, schematics, and IPC 610 standards for electronic and mechanical assembly. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to accurately assemble electrical panels, wiring harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and soldering equipment to perform precise electrical wiring, surface mount technology (SMT) placement, soldering, and mechanical assembly tasks. Build electrical panels by following blueprint specifications, ensuring proper placement of components such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), relays, contactors, and other electro-mechanical parts. Conduct engineering troubleshooting on assembled units to identify faults or defects; perform necessary repairs or adjustments to meet quality standards. Maintain detailed documentation of assembly processes, test results, and inspection reports in compliance with manufacturing procedures. Follow safety protocols during assembly operations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Experience Proven experience in electronics assembly or electrical panel building within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of PCB (printed circuit board) assembly techniques including surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components. Familiarity with reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics for complex electro-mechanical systems. Hands-on experience with soldering techniques adhering to IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies. Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers, calipers, and power tools efficiently. Experience with electrical wiring practices including the use of multimeters (ohmmeters) for testing continuity and resistance. Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes and mechanical assembly of electro-mechanical components is highly desirable. Strong troubleshooting skills combined with an understanding of engineering principles related to electromechanical systems. Knowledge of manufacturing best practices including following blueprint specifications and adhering to safety regulations.
