Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Responsibilities Rotating shift work including nights and weekends Welding, cutting and fabrication Maintain all mechanical systems related to the rolling process Troubleshoot and repair of high-pressure hydraulic systems Rigging, crane and mobile equipment operation Read and interpret blueprints and piping diagrams Personal tools required to perform routine maintenance and repair Work with operations and maintenance groups to ensure continued production Work with computer-based maintenance systems Qualifications Required Safety Oriented High School diploma or equivalent Prior mechanical maintenance experience in some or all of the following areas: Welding & fabricating, Industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, manual & automatic lubrication systems, Water systems, pipe fitting, Rigging, Bearing & coupling replacement, Ability to read prints & schematics. Strong willingness to learn Understanding of physics (heat transfer, fluid flow, force and power transmission) Understanding of mathematics (geometry, trigonometry) Willingness to work scheduled and non-scheduled overtime Strong teamwork focus Ability to work without direct supervision Ability to multi-task & prioritize work assignments with production needs Preferred At least two years experience in industrial maintenance Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
