Responsibilities Assemble electro-mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and surface mount technology (SMT) techniques in accordance with detailed blueprints and schematics. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to accurately build electrical panels, wiring harnesses, and assemblies. Solder surface mount devices (SMD) and through-hole components following IPC 610 standards to ensure high-quality electrical connections. Build electrical panels by installing circuit boards, wiring components, and verifying connections with multimeters such as ohmmeters. Perform mechanical assembly tasks including machining, fitting parts together, and securing components using appropriate tools. Conduct engineering troubleshooting on electro-mechanical systems to identify issues related to wiring, component failure, or assembly errors. Follow blueprint specifications meticulously during assembly processes to ensure compliance with design requirements. Test completed assemblies for functionality using diagnostic tools; document results and perform necessary adjustments or rework as needed. Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety protocols while handling sensitive electronic components and power tools. Collaborate with engineering teams during prototype development or process improvements to optimize assembly procedures. Skills Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately. Proficiency in electronics assembly techniques including soldering (IPC 610 standards), surface mount technology (SMT), and electrical wiring. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems troubleshooting and integration. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, power supplies, multimeters (including ohmmeters), and other diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) fabrication processes and testing procedures. Familiarity with electrical panel building, wire harness assembly, and schematic interpretation for complex systems. Ability to follow detailed blueprint specifications precisely while maintaining quality standards in manufacturing environments. Mechanical assembly skills such as machining or fitting parts together accurately for electro-mechanical systems.
