Mechanic I ECU Health - 3.7 Greenville, NC Job Details $21.53 - $31.38 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Position Summary This position responds to trouble calls and emergencies. The team member will secure the situation and make a repair if within their capacity. If necessary, they will arrange for a higher level mechanic to respond when appropriate. This position will also perform routine preventative maintenance and make repairs within their capacity. Assist in maintenance, use common hand tools, clean area and perform other duties as assigned. Responsibilities 1. Responds to Work Request, proceeds to location of trouble; troubleshoots to determine the nature of the problem, makes repairs as necessary documenting action taken in TMS, by use of IPAD. 2. Maintains equipment by responding to Work Request, direction of supervisior or discovering issues through routine checks and inspections of assigned areas. 3. Responds to emergency situations, including fire alarms, elevator failures and equipment failures. 4. Participates in weekend Shift rotatation support. 5. Obtains scheduled assigned preventative maintenance. Perfoms work as indicated on PM task for, designated equipment, systems, or building components. Documents actions taken , recording equipment history and time charges utilizing IPAD. Reports all changes of PM data to the Quality Control Technition. 6. Utiliizes all hand tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, nut drivers, sockets, hand power tools, including drills and saws. Operates drill presses, torches and grinders. Utilizes tap and die sets, specialty drill bits, extractors, rivet and staple guns and other related tools. Utilizes step ladders, extension ladd ers and man lifts. Performs task utilizing dollies, hand trucks and pallet jacks. Minimum Requirements High School or Equivalent (GED) 1 year but less than 2 years of formal training or education is required. Substitute year for year up to 2 years for applicable education Pay Range $21.53 - $31.38
