Client Overview:
Our client, a growing manufacturing organization specializing in high-volume production for consumer and regulated products, is seeking skilled and motivated Manufacturing Line Mechanics (1st & 2nd Shift) to join their team. Salary/Hourly Rate:
$20/hr - $40/hr, Depending on experience
Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Line Mechanics (1st & 2nd Shift) play a critical role in keeping high-speed production equipment operating at peak performance. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and optimizing manufacturing equipment to support production goals while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:30 pm OR 3:00 pm to 12:00 am, with overtime opportunities available on Saturdays. Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Line Mechanics (1st & 2nd Shift): Provide hands-on mechanical support for high-speed manufacturing production lines. Perform routine, preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Support equipment setups, changeovers, and line adjustments in accordance with standard operating procedures. Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and documentation. Safely utilize shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and fabrication tools to repair and modify components as needed. Inspect machinery, parts, and tooling to ensure compliance with specifications, blueprints, and production requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following company and regulatory standards. Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Production, and Quality teams to achieve operational objectives. Assist with preventative maintenance planning and critical spare parts inventory management. Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Required Experience/Skills for the Manufacturing Line Mechanics (1st & 2nd Shift): Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial plant environment. Strong knowledge of pneumatic systems, electromechanical equipment, and industrial machinery. Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-speed production or processing equipment. Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving abilities. Working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and best practices. Understanding of workplace safety regulations and compliance standards. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Preferred Experience/Skills for the Manufacturing Line Mechanics (1st & 2nd Shift): Experience working with filling, packaging, bottling, labeling, or automated production equipment. Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments, including quality-controlled, FDA-regulated, or cGMP settings. Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and automation systems. Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Technical certifications related to industrial maintenance, mechanics, or manufacturing are a plus.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical school, vocational training, or relevant mechanical certifications are preferred.
