Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Diagnose equipment issues and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime.
Maintain conveyors, mixers, fillers, packaging machines, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and related manufacturing equipment.
Conduct routine inspections of machinery and facility systems.
Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Support production teams by responding quickly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns.
Complete maintenance documentation, work orders, and parts usage records accurately.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards, GMPs, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
Maintain an organized work area and properly use maintenance tools and equipment.
Participate in shift handoffs and communicate equipment status effectively with team members.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or consumer goods manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting experience.
Ability to work with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, pumps, and production equipment.
Basic electrical knowledge including motors, controls, sensors, and VFDs preferred.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the shift.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and production conditions.
Preferred SkillsExperience with PLC troubleshooting.
Welding and fabrication experience.
Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).FDA, USDA, HACCP, and GMP experience.

2:30PM-12AMPosition SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our food manufacturing team in Bayshore, NY. This position is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.
